as awnser to the not rated question before it pops up, this movie is not rated becauser after a good 45 minutes of screen time i switched the tv off and sent this movie back from whence it came. now before i go on, i must say that AM is not the worst movie ive ever seen just one i had already seen, seeing as how after less than an hour i knew how the movie would turn out. the story behind Am is confusing disjointed and one thats oppenly interpreted but in summary i guess you could call it the ref without the black humour, smooth pace, and acting. you better believe kevin spacey knows this loser 40 year old father role and thats probably his excuse for sleepwalking through it as he is nowhere near the bitter, angry, man he is in the ref. the movies one apparent brightspot is the next door neighbors. the ones that have an ex marine dad whos success pressures his son to be the same homophobic, power man his dad is. this dark spitting image of modern society is the theme this movie appears to be going for, which makes it all the worse when the camera cuts away and moves back to the poorly scripted misfits next door.
